For years, our Canary Cove guests have told us how amazing our staff is and the important role the staff has had in making our guests feel comfortable, pampered, and confident to try all that Belize has to offer. We are proud to have the friendliest, most experienced and professional staff on the island—the best of the best! Our guests enjoy the services our staff provides throughout each day—from preparation and service of delicious meals to SCUBA diving excursions, snorkeling fun, pool time, and relaxing at the pool bar with fresh drinks. They are happy to assist you with ANY planning of your day.

Gil

Manager, SCUBA Instructor

Gil manages Canary Cove and arranges all of your activities during your stay. From Villa reservations to arrivals and departures, SCUBA certifications (20+ years diving in Belize with PADI Dive Certifications in Open Water, Advanced, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Responder Course , Divemaster and numerous Specialty Dive Courses), excursions, and everything to make your vacation the best it can possibly be, Gil will make it all happen. Gil resides in San Pedro Town with his family and is a trusted resource for all things Belize.

Palma

Divemaster, Assistant Instructor

Palma is a PADI Divemaster and Assistant Instructor with 10+ years of experience. Palma will make your dive excursion the safest and most memorable dive experience you’ve ever had. He is also a boat captain and snorkel guide.

Nathalie

Chef, Housekeeping Manager

Nathalie is your private chef in residence. In advance of your arrival, Nathalie will coordinate your meal preferences with you as well as manage all of the provisioning to stock your kitchen with breakfasts, drinks, and snacks for the entirety of your stay with us. Nathalie completed her apprenticeship at a top-rated California restaurant preparing Seasonal American Cuisine and is admired for her creativity in meal planning which appeals to all ages—bringing out the best in locally-sourced fresh ingredients.

Consi

Reservation Manager, Concierge

Consi will be with you from the beginning—booking your stay ‘til the end of your visit—to make sure everything meets your expectations and more. Whether you want to book water or land activities, go shopping, enjoy a good spa, visit hot spots in town, or plan that special occasion—she will make it happen! Her objective is to make your vacation carefree and memorable!

Michael

Boat Captain, Snorkel & FIshing Guide

An accomplished diver, Michael specializes in leading snorkel trips, finding divers at the end of the dive, and fishing expeditions. Whether you are looking for reef fish such as barracuda, or deep water tuna, Michael is your man. He also makes a killer ceviche after the hunt and opens a Belikin beer in under 5 milliseconds.

Mayra

Assistant Chef, Housekeeping

Mayra is the Sous Chef of Canary Cove as well your friendly housekeeper. She will ensure that your rooms are well kept and fresh during your stay. Got laundry? She will be more than willing to make sure that your clothes are ready for your needs. Craving a margarita, rum punch or pina colada? She is your go to girl to serve you with a smile.

Oscar

Bartender/Waiter

Need a drink that makes you smile, Oscar is your guy! He will welcome you with a refreshing cocktail and will continue pampering you by the pool, bar, dock or during your meals. He will be happy to prepare any drink for you.

Jaime

Foreman

Jaime is our foreman and he keeps everything humming. Jaime lives on the compound and is a call away to help you with anything you may need.

Chris

Maintenance Worker

Chris is our youngest worker who works alongside the foreman doing general maintenance.

Mr. Santiago

Gardener

Mr. Santiago is our master groundskeeper putting a touch of color everywhere with his skillful gardening. He resides on the property, so if you are desiring a fresh coconut—to eat or drink the water—give him a call and he’ll be happy to bring it to you.

Mr. Omar

Carpenter

Omar is our gentle giant handyman. He is very experienced in maintenance, carpentry and masonry just to start. He is happy to repair anything around the compound.

Deon

Maintenance Man

Deon is the man to call if you want a tender rotisserie chicken or a pig roast cooked to perfection on a spit beachside. He also does general maintenance and keeps our pool sparkling to help you relax under the colorful umbrellas.
